Understand The Game Of AI

This time I chose the most controversial topic to talk about i.e., A.I (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE).
A.I has become the keyword which defines the future and everything that it holds. Not only AI taken over traditional method of computing , but it also has changed the way industries performed. From modernizing healthcare and finance streams to research and manufacturing everything has changed in the blink of an eye. AI uses complex algorithms and methods to build machines that can make decisions on their own.

AI has had a positive on the way the IT sectors work, in other words there is no denying the fact that it has revolutionized the very essence of space.

ROLE OF AI IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIVES :-

With all the hype around AI robotics, self driving cars etc. It can be easy to assume that AI doesn’t impact our everyday lives. In reality most of us encounter AI in some way or the other almost every single day .
From the moment you wake up to check smartphone to watching another Netflix recommend movie, AI has quickly made its way into our lives.
According to a study, the global AI market is set to grow up to 54% every single year.

Now let’s talk about some types of AI.
THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF AI BASED ON CAPABILITIES :-

(a.) NARROW AI :- it is also known as weak AI. Apple Siri, Google Translate etc are some examples of narrow AI. It is common in our daily lives.

(b.) GENERAL AI :- General AI or strong AI can understand and learn any intellectual task. Researchers are striving to research strong AI.

(c.) SUPER AI :- It surpasses human intelligence and can perform any task better than him. It is still a concept.

UNDER FUNCTIONALITIES WE HAVE 4 TYPES OF AI :-

(1.) REACTIVE MACHINE :- These are those AI systems that have no memory and are task specific, means that an input always delivers the same output.

(2.) LIMITED MEMORY :- AI that can store knowledge and use it to learn and train for future task.

(3.) THEORY OF MIND :- Theory of mind and self awareness are AI types that will be built in the future, as such there aren’t any real world examples yet.

(4.) SELF AWARENESS :- We are long way from self aware AI because there is still so much to uncover about human brain’s intelligence and how memory learning decision making work.

AI does present some significant from job displacement to security and privacy concern and encouraging awareness of issues help us engage in conversationa about AI's legal, ethical and societal implications.

HERE ARE THE BIGGEST RISKS OF AI :-

(1.) LACK OF TRANSPERANCY :– The opaqueness obscures the decision making process and underlying logic of these technologies.

(2.) PRIVACY CONCERN :– AI technologies can often collect and analyze large amounts of personal data, raising issues related to data privacy and security.
To mitigate privacy risk, we must advocate for strict data protection regulations and safe data handling particles.

(3.) ETHICAL DILEMMAS :- installing moral and ethical values in AI systems, especially in decision making contexts with significance consequences, present a considerable challenge.

(4.) SECURITY RISK :– as AI technologies became increasingly sophisticated , the security risk associated with their use and the potential for misuse also increase. Hackers and malicious actors can harness the power of AI.

(5.) DEPENDENCE :– Over dependence on AI can lead to a loss of creativity, critical thinking skills and human institutions.

(6.) JOB DISPLACEMENT :– AI driven automation has the potential to lead to job losses across various industries, particularly for low skilled workers. As AI technologies continue to develop and become more efficient, the workforce must adapt and acquire new skills to remain relevant in the changing landscape.

(7.) LEGAL CHALLENGE :– it’s crucial to develop new legal framework and regulations to address the unique issues arising from AI technology.

(8.) LOSS ON HUMAN CONNECTION :– increasing reliance of AI driven communication and interaction could lead to diminished empathy, social skills and human interaction.

(9.) UNINTENDED RISK :– AI systems, due to these complexity and lack of human oversight, might exhibit unexpected behavior or make decisions with unforeseen circumstances. This unpredictability can result in outcomes that negatively impact individuals, business or society as a whole.

(10.) EXISTENTIAL RISK :– The develop of AI that surpasses human intelligence raises long term concern for humanity.
To mitigate this risk, AI research community needs to ensure that AI serves the best interest of humanity and do not pose a threat to our existence is paramount.

The advantages of AI applications are enormous and can revolutionized any professional sector.

Let’s see some of them:–

(a.) REDUCTION IN HUMAN ERRORS:- Humans make mistakes from time to time. Computers, however, do not make these mistakes if they are programmed properly. So errors are reduced and the chance of reaching accuracy with greater degrees of precision is a possibility.

(b.) AUTOMATION :– Automation is one of the most commonly cited benefits of AI technologies, and it has significant impacts on the communications, transportation, consumer products and service industries. Automation can also help to free resources that can be used for more important things.

(c.) MEDICAL ADVANCES :– The use of AI in healthcare sector is becoming increasingly popular these days. Remote patient monitoring technology, for instance, allow healthcare providers to perform clinical diagnoses and suggest treatments quickly without requiring the patient to visit the hospital in person.

(d.) SMART DECISION MAKING :– AI has always been used for making smarter business decision. As long as AI is not programmed to imitate human emotions, it will remain unbiased on the matter at hand and will help to make the right decision to support business efficiency.

(e.) AVAILABLE 247 :– An average human will work for 4-6 hours a day excluding the breaks. Human are built in such a way to get some time out for refreshing themselves and get ready for new day of work and they even have weekly offed to stay intact with their work life and personal life. But using AI we can machine work 247 without any break and they don’t even get bored, unlike human.

(f.) FASTER DECISION :– Using AI alongside other technologies, we can make machines take decision faster than human and carry out actions quicker.

(g.) NEW INVENTIONS :– AI is powering many inventions in almost every domain which will help humans solve the majority of complex problems.

So, these were some advantages and disadvantages of AI. Every new invention or breakthrough will have both, but we as humans need to take care of that and use the positive sides of the invention to create a better world. AI has maasive potential advantages. The key for humans will ensure the " rise of the robots " doesn't get out of hand .
